Antique Victorian Silver & Enamel Locket Charm with George III Coin c1820

An antique Victorian c1880 silver back and front circular locket charm with a silver 1816-1820 George III enamel sixpence coin as the front and a hand engraved decorated back. The frame and the hinge are just gilt metal.

It measures 20mm (13/16ths of an inch), excluding the suspension bale, and weighs 5.3 grammes. Unmarked but tested as silver back and front with a secure  closure. There are 2 compartments inside, both with rims but no glass. The outside was originally gilded but most of this has now worn away. There is enamel missing from the front and the back shows numerous tiny little dents. Still a nice and unusual piece.
